Grabbed this on Bandcamp whilst watching it being played live at The Dome. Tears welled up as the final crescendo peaked and had it been the end of my cycle, I would have happily spontaneously combusted, I then realised it was only dawn and the first of the triptych, so I will soldier on, at least until dusk and endure another two stellar opus’s before I can embark on that final journey. Can't believe I'm getting on this 2 years late. Such a well-crafted experience, it is exactly what I've been craving out of the doomgaze subgenre. Heavy, sprawling, dark and mysterious. Heroin is less addictive. Magnus Blackwood
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022
Oakland, CA quartet LYCUS return with a new album on Relapse Records. Heavy, epic, mournful, and replete with art by Paolo Girardi. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2016
